EXAM FORMAT DEPENDS ON YOUR COURSE
CQI & IRCA certified courses do not all use the same examination format. Review the applicable assessment pathway below and check the individual course page for course-specific requirements.
LEAD AUDITOR EXAMINATIONS
Standard Lead Auditor examination: 105 minutes
Combined ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor examination: 150 minutes
Format: Open-book and computer-marked examination
Structure: Five examination sections
Pass mark: 50% overall
Section requirement: At least 40% in each section
Exam window: 30 days after completing the course
Resit: One resit permitted within 365 days
Results: Normally issued within 14 UK working days
ISO 50001 AND ISO/IEC 17025 EXAMINATIONS
Applicable courses: ISO 50001 Lead Auditor and ISO/IEC 17025 Lead Auditor
Virtual delivery: Online examination proctored by Quality Academy®
Classroom delivery: Paper-based examination
Examination timing: Completed at the end of the final course day
Duration: 120 minutes
Structure: Four examination sections
Pass mark: 70% overall
Section requirement: At least 50% in each section
