The PECB Certified ISO 42001 Lead Implementer examination meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP).
The examination covers the following competency domains:

- Domain 3: Planning of an AIMS implementation based on ISO/IEC 42001

- Domain 6: Continual improvement and preparation for an AIMS certification audit
The examination can be taken online through PECB Exams. Examination type, available languages, and other examination requirements are subject to the current PECB Examination Rules and Policies.
After successfully passing the examination, candidates may apply for the applicable PECB ISO/IEC 42001 Implementer credential. The credential awarded depends on the candidate's professional experience and AI project experience.

QMS project experience: 200 hours
PECB Certified ISO 42001 Lead Implementer
Professional experience: Five years, including two years in quality management
QMS project experience: 300 hours
PECB Certified ISO 42001 Senior Lead Implementer
Professional experience: Ten years, including seven years in quality management
QMS project experience: 1,000 hours
Candidates must also meet the applicable examination requirements and sign the PECB Code of Ethics. Certification is granted by PECB after all requirements for the selected credential have been fulfilled.
