Explain the purpose of a food safety management system, of food safety management systems standards and the business benefits of the improved performance of the food safety management system including its relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of organisations.
Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a food safety management system audit within an audit programme in accordance with FSSC 22000, ISO 22003-1, ISO 17021- 1, and the guidelines in ISO 19011.

This is a 5-day (40hr) learning event.

Start/Finish Times: 09:00am – 17:00pm (each day) with an earlier finish on the final day at 2pm.

Prior Learning Requirement: Knowledge about the core elements of management systems, the PDCA-cycle, the principles of FSMS, PRPs, HACCP, national and local FSMS legislation and the requirements of FSSC 22000, gained by e.g. attendance in a FSMS foundation course are essential..

This course is fully recognised by CQI & IRCA (Course ID 2657).
Learners must also pass a 1-hour 45-minute online or 2-hour written examination where the examination is not in English.
Assessment questions may relate to prior knowledge that will not be covered in this course. Learners who lack the prior knowledge are strongly recommended to acquire it before booking a course.
Final examination should be completed within 30 days from the course date.

Course Pre-Requisite
Learners are required to be familiar with FSSC/ISO 22000:2018 Requirements or have completed a recognised FSMS Fundamentals course based on ISO 22000:2018 prior to registering for this course.
