The PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Auditor eLearning training course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to perform Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) audits based on ISO/IEC 27701:2025 using widely recognized audit principles, procedures, and techniques.
The course prepares participants to plan and conduct internal and external PIMS audits and develop the competence required to manage audit programmes, lead audit teams, evaluate conformity, and report audit findings.
After completing the training course, participants can take the corresponding PECB examination. Candidates who successfully pass the examination may apply for the applicable PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Auditor credential, subject to meeting the relevant certification requirements.
This eLearning training course develops the knowledge and skills required to plan and conduct internal and external Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) audits in accordance with ISO 19011, ISO/IEC 17021-1, and ISO/IEC 27706.
Participants will develop competence in applying audit techniques, managing an audit programme, leading an audit team, communicating during audits, and resolving potential conflicts. The course also provides guidance on auditing the requirements of ISO/IEC 27701:2025, including privacy controls applicable to PII controllers and PII processors.

PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27701 Senior Lead Auditor
Professional experience: 10 years, including 7 years in privacy management
PIMS audit/assessment experience: 1,000 hours
Candidates must also pass the applicable examination and sign the PECB Code of Ethics.
