The PECB ISO 9001 Lead Implementer eLearning training course is designed to develop the competence required to establish, implement, operate, maintain, and continually improve a Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001.
The course provides in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, together with the best practices and approaches used for the implementation and subsequent maintenance of a QMS.
After completing the eLearning training course, participants can take the corresponding PECB examination. Candidates who successfully pass the examination may apply for the applicable PECB ISO 9001 Implementer credential, subject to meeting the relevant certification requirements.
This five-day training course helps participants develop the competence necessary to establish, implement, operate, maintain, and continually improve a Quality Management System.
Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and the best practices and approaches used to implement and maintain a QMS.

The PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer examination meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP).
The examination covers the following competency domains:
- Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of a quality management system
- Domain 2: Initiation of a QMS implementation
- Domain 3: Planning of a QMS implementation based on ISO 9001
- Domain 4: Implementing a QMS based on ISO 9001
- Domain 5: Monitoring and measurement of a QMS based on ISO 9001

- Domain 7: Preparation for a QMS certification audit
The examination can be taken online through PECB Exams. Examination type, available languages, and other examination requirements are subject to the current PECB Examination Rules and Policies.
After successfully passing the examination, candidates may apply for the applicable PECB ISO 9001 credential. The credential awarded depends on the candidate's professional experience and QMS project experience.

QMS project experience: 200 hours
PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer
Professional experience: Five years, including two years in quality management
QMS project experience: 300 hours
PECB Certified ISO 9001 Senior Lead Implementer
Professional experience: Ten years, including seven years in quality management
QMS project experience: 1,000 hours
Candidates must also meet the applicable examination requirements and sign the PECB Code of Ethics. Certification is granted by PECB after all requirements for the selected credential have been fulfilled.
