Certification Mark Use Policy

I. POLICY PURPOSE
This policy establishes the rules and requirements for the use of all QA trademarks and certification marks.

 

II. QA CERTIFICATION MARK OWNERSHIP
The following organizational trademark is owned and controlled by QA:

III. AUTHORIZED USE OF QA CERTIFICATION MARK
QA grants permission to use the QA certification mark to QA-certified organizations that have satisfied all applicable QA certification requirements. Each QA-certified organization is authorized to use only the certification mark which represents the appropriate certification. Each QA-certified organization may use the appropriate QA certification mark in professional and business materials such as business cards and email signatures.
Non-assignability and Non-transferability
Permission to use the certification mark is limited to the certified organization, and shall not be transferred to, assigned to, or otherwise used by any other organization or entity.
IV. QA CERTIFICATION MARK VIOLATION REPORTING
Following receipt of information that an inappropriate or unauthorized use of the certification mark may have occurred, QA will determine if responsive action(s) will be taken, including the following:
  1. The alleged inappropriate or unauthorized mark use will be reviewed.
  2. If a policy violation may have occurred, QA shall communicate to the organization(s) involved, requesting that they cease the unauthorized use.
  3. If the policy violation is not corrected, appropriate legal actions or sanctions shall be taken, including certification suspension or revocation.
  4. Shall not use the certification information in a manner to imply that the product or service is certified. The certification mark or logo shall not be used on a product or product packaging as this could be interpreted as denoting product conformity.
